“Here boy,” said Red patting his leg. “ Into the truck.” Brownie jumped into the pickup truck. Red scratched behind his ears and said, “You have to go home now, boy”. He and his dad sadly drove Brownie back to Sheriff Brown’s farm.

A week later, Red was outside playing when he saw a brown paw, then a brown nose, then the brown body of Brownie slowly coming from behind the bushes. “Brownie!” yelled Red. He scratched Brownie’s head and sadly said, “You can’t be here. This isn’t your farm.”
